I try so hard to like and support English Gardens but every time I visit, I'm left with feelings of dissatisfaction. I never experience friendly service. The only location with decent friendliness is the Royal Oak location. First time at the Plymouth store today. AI told me this one would have the largest selection of indoor plants, specifically tall ones. There were no tall ones at all! Overall I think this location has the least amount of indoor plants overall 😅. As a West Bloomfield resident, I will not make the drive back to Plymouth. The West Bloomfield store is almost as unfriendly as this one. Disregarding the higher prices, I just wish it was a friendly place to shop.

So over priced. Had sale items out then when I went to get them they said they were all out of stock. Asked where an item was and person at counter sent me to complete opposite side of the store and outside. Then a different Person at check out had to redo my items multiple times and I had to show them the items on clearance to get the correct price. Super nicer person but it took 25 min to check out and didn’t even get half the items I went for because they thought they had them in stock but then couldn’t find them. Will absolutely not go back here. Only put two stars cuz the person was nice even though they kept getting it wrong.

I was excited to see the large selection, I was looking for roses and they were quite literally all crispy looking. And $20 more than to purchase them from David Austin’s or other reputable rose websites. Seems like they may not water them enough, they have a vast garden section but I wouldn’t feel comfortable purchasing any of those roses in the condition they were in, especially with them being overpriced. I’m sure you could prune them back if you did take a chance but what a disappointment.

I love visiting English Gardens. There's always so much choice. I could stay there literally all day! I bring my dog and everyone, including staff comes over to pet him. The staff is stellar! Best staff ever, always kind and helpful. My favorite garden center to visit.

Excellent selection but plants and flowers unnecessarily expensive. I even bought a beautiful ornate window glass/sunbathe that was cheaper than a flat of flowers Plus, in the greenhouse it gets so hot i almost passed out. They really should have cold water or sell cold drinks at the ann arbor trail location. Beautiful plants. Prices double and even triple than the box stores.
